Data Retention and Deletion
Flux keeps account and workspace data only for as long as it supports the service, security, or a user-requested recovery window.
Typical retention
- Account and active workspace records: while the account or workspace remains active.
- Deleted records: removed from active views after confirmation; protected backups may retain them temporarily until normal rotation.
- Security and audit references: limited retention for abuse investigation, access review, and service safety.
- Exports: files downloaded by a user are controlled by that user and are not automatically deleted from the user’s device.
Export and correction
Use each tool’s export controls for supported records. To request an account-level export or correct identity data, contact support from the account email and identify the workspace without sending secrets.
Deletion and closure
Request account closure or deletion through support. Flux will confirm the scope, explain consequences, verify the request, and describe any short backup-retention period. Deletion is not reversed after the stated recovery window. A legal or security hold may delay deletion only where genuinely necessary and will be explained.
